EPM SECURITY PERSONNEL DRILLED TO UPHOLD CODE OF CONDUCT

At the ongoing refresher training of security supervisors for the Eastern Produce Malawi (EPM) Limited, a lead facilitator Vincent Nembere from an international security company Garda World Malawi has challenged the supervisors to maintain their professionalism and uphold the code of conduct and standards.

Nembere said compromising the three pillars has potential of tarnishing the reputation of the company as well as affecting the entity’s business.

On the second day of the training, Harry Chidzalo, a security supervisor from EPM’s Mulanje West Division said that they have learnt a number of things including respecting the rule of law and EPM’s security guidelines when dealing with people suspected to have committed crimes within EPM estates.

According to EPM’s Corporate Affairs Manager Rabson Kachilele, the primary objective of the training is to build capacity of the security supervisors who will in turn enhance the professionalism of the company’s security section.

The training of first cohort that has twenty (20) personnel started on Monday and ended on Friday and the training is taking place at Kwacibi house, EPM’s headquarters in Mulanje.
